Niepoort Lomba Dão Tinto Conciso 2014

A lights out value from Niepoort's estate in the Dão, the Conciso is made of my two favorite red grapes in Portugal - Jaen and Baga.  The granite soil is expressed beautifully through both the elegant transparency of the Jaen and the mineral structure of the Baga.  With 12 years of age under its belt, it's firing on all cylinders right now.  Dark, spicy, mineral and earthy.
