Peter Lauer Riesling Grosses Gewachs No 11 Schonfels 2022

MCF Rare Wine

In 1900, top Bordeaux and Burgundy wines, such as Château d’Yquem or Chablis, were almost unaffordable. But for Saar wines, the guest even had to pay twice or three times the amount. They were the most expensive wines in the world. The 110-year-old vines for the Schonfels cuvee come from this period. The vines, ambassadors of a long-forgotten time, still give a few liters of concentrated essence. Pepper and salinity coat the focused palate; this is a GG Riesling with power!
