This Weekend's Tastings
Now that we're up and running in our new space, we're very excited to be implementing a tasting program here at MCF.
There are a few different formats for them --
Regular Walk-In Tastings - weeknights and Saturdays, we'll have wines open and guests pourers from distributors, importers or producers. These will be announced through the newsletter and the 'Tasting' section of our website (which will be live soon). These tastings will be $5 at the door.
Seminars - intimate, formal seminars in our small tasting room. These will be a bit more focused (zeroing in on a theme, country/region, or specific producer) and the limited seating for each one will require a reservation. These will start at $25 per seat and range up from there depending on the wines being tasted.
Private Tastings - we've been doing private tastings at people's homes for years, but now we're happy to host you here as well. These are completely customized based on your individual needs. For more information on pricing, please contact emily@mcf-rarewine.com.
With all of this in mind, let's talk about this weekend!
This coming Friday night (4/21), we are very proud to have Ben Oberto and Amy Ezrin of Massanois Imports here pouring an entire lineup of Aldo Conterno Barolo (Cicala, Colonnello and Romirasco from 2012 and Granbussia from 2008). This will be a free walk-in tasting, but we anticipate lots of interest for these very limited wines. This tasting begins at 6pm and ends when we close at 8pm.
Then, on Saturday (4/22) from 11:30-1, we'll be hosting our first seminar in the tasting room where we'll be running through a selection of five Spring Wines -- white, rosé, and red to suit the changing menus on your table.
Seats are $25 each ($27.22 with tax), first come first served.
