Rummer Time!
Having been in the Caribbean last week, my already high consumption of Summertime Rum has been even higher as of late.
Seeing as the smorgasbord of amazing rums has basically taken over the spirits shelf, I thought I'd blast out some current highlights for all to enjoy.
Some such highlights include the mind-bending offerings from the bottler projects of Rest & Be Thankful, with three vintage single rums - a 2000 and a 2012 from Monymusk, and a 1998 from Long Pond - and the flat amazing offerings from Blackadder.
Please also give very special consideration to a new bottler project called The Tropical Dependent Bottler and their Papalin 7yr Vatted Rum, which is a blend of casks from Jamaica's two legendary houses, Hampden and Worthy Park, both of which were aged at their respective distillery before blending. At just $65, you're getting the bright, bracing funk of Hampden balanced perfectly against the fruit-driven richness of Worthy. (I'm having a very hard time keeping my hands off the bottle I snagged for myself.)
And, of course, there are plenty of other gems from Hampden and Transcontinental, etc., too.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate!
