Aldo Conterno 2013 Barolo

A few weeks back, when we had the tasting of the 2012 Crus and 2008 Granbussia at our shop, we were treated to a surprise sneak peek of the 2013 Barolo Normale.

As I've mentioned before, there's been lots of anticipation for the 2013s from Barolo and I was looking very forward to checking it out.

At the end of the night, to say it was a big hit would have been an understatement.

2013, is shaping up to be similar to 2001 or 2004, with really firm structure at the core, but with classic finesse and balance as well.  Both of those elements were confirmed in this Barolo 2013 from Aldo Conterno.

The aromatics and palate merely hinted at the elegance and beauty that were locked up inside this very firm, taut Barolo.  It was easily one of the most serious examples of the basic Barolo from Aldo in quite some time.

Today I'm happy to offer some at some great pricing.

These are just arriving in NYC and they should be in our possession and ready for collection within the next week.

I've got a decent chunk, so please don't be bashful.

Kick off the 2013 frenzy with a classic!
