The Palmberg is one the estate's most prized vineyards, a Grand Cru in Dr Ulrich "Ulli"'s words, where 90+ year-old vines can found. Palmberg is a vertigo inducing amphitheater of sheer force. Blue Slate slabs here is all the eye can see amongst the vines. The wines of Palmberg are like daggers, cutting across the palate in angles unexplainable, densely packed yet featherlight at 10.5%. The 2020 is just that: ruthless, cut, mineral, fresh and phenolic with a spectrum of stone fruit cores.
