Scarzello Barolo Comune del Barolo 2016

MCF Rare Wine

Scarzello Giorgio e Figli is a small estate jewel located right in the middle of Barolo, in Sarmassa, one of the best crus in the region. The vines may be young, all replanted in the 1990s by Federico and his father Giorgio, but they are healthy and densely planted to reduce yields.
The Barolo Scarzello 2016 comes from two different vineyards in the municipality of Barolo: Terlo and Sarmassa. Once taken to the cellar, the grapes are processed with the utmost respect for the integrity of the fruit, with long maceration but with very delicate extractions. This is how this Barolo is synonymous with elegance and freshness, with a whispered and never overbearing style.
