Margherita Otto Barolo 2016

MCF Rare Wine

A Barolo from new producer Alan Manley, native New Yorker turned Piedmontese. The grapes are sourced from his 3 vineyards in Monforte d'Alba, Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga d'Alba, blended  and fermented together to make one wine; the traditional technique is called "assemblaggio"  and is used by big names in the Barolo world, like Bartolo Mascarello, one of Manley's mentors. The result is one of the most exciting new Barolos in a generation, a true classic that expresses its terroirs and growing season with stunning purity and rare harmony.
