Karthauserhof Riesling Trocken Schieferkristall 2013

MCF Rare Wine

The Karthäuser Estate’s land has been producing wine in the Ruwer Valley, a tiny section of the Mosel Region since 1335. The current family, now headed by Albert Behler, acquired the estate in 1811. A tradition this long can only signify something special: the Schieferkristall over-delivers for its price point. It’s packed with the whole spectrum of fruit flavors: tropical, citrus, stone fruit, and pears. The aromas are pronounced and intoxicating, showing fruit, minerality and sweet spices. Its opulence is uplifted by lively, mouthwatering acidity and finishes with long lasting flavors.
