A family domaine for five generations now, Lilian is the latest vigneron of an estate created in 1895, taking over for his father Gerard in 1999. After going to school and internships in the region, Lilian has turned the domaine into one of the very few organic estates in Chablis. Les Clos Grand Cru's vinification is done in stainless steel, after which the wine spends about 9 months in older barriques for elevage. The combination of power and finesse in Les Clos makes it one of the greatest, most-age worthy Chablis you can possibly ask for. There is little else to say, except that the chance to offer it in a big bottle like this is an absolute treat.
