Henri LeRoy's estate around Rotalier and Grusse in the Southern Jura is producing some magical wines, but this might be his signature bottling. It's made of 50% Savagnin and 50% Naturé (or Savagnin) Muscaté, of which there is only about one hectare's worth in the world. The result is a FABULOUS glass of ouillé Savagnin, but one with a decidedly flowery profile. Aromatic, nutty, savory and wildly perfumed, this is perhaps the singular wine of the Jura...at least in my eyes.
