Chardonnay from the Langhe, like this gorgeous example from shop favorite, Bovio, is an unfairly maligned category in our book. Like a proper Mâcon or even a Côte de Beaune example, this Langhe Bianco deftly balances the mineral, citric elements with the creamier, richer ones. Being from Piedmont, though, the level of fragrant rigor is turned up just a bit higher. A wonderful wine, especially for the money.
