Like each wine he makes, Baudry's Clos Guillot is one of Chinon's true gems. From limestone based clay-rich soils, this wine is at once chiseled, yet sublimely elegant, almost Burgundian. The dark, mineral focus is the running theme in all of his cuvées, but here, the elegance is what sets it apart. Enjoy it now, but better in 5-7.
