I’ve always had a soft spot for Pineau d’Aunis, which I’ve always thought of as Cabernet Franc’s edgier cousin, in that it displays a lot of similarities to Franc, but, in this case, with a funkier and lighter palate. This one perfectly balances that earth and minerality with beautifully soft, friendly red fruits and a refreshingly light weight. Enjoy with a slight chill!
